This project travels to different communities and shelters in the Bay Area, offering a wide array of books for readers of all ages. Anyone can contribute by donating books and educational materials. We ensure that the donations reach shelters, allowing everyone to experience the joy of reading and gain access to educational resources. MEET THE TEAM
Mahika Bhandari
Mahika is a junior at Irvington High School who has always carried a passion for reading. Ever since a young age, her nose has always been in a book, and she has always wanted the opportunity to share this love with others as well. Furthermore, she has tutored many students in English Literature and volunteered at multiple nonprofits.
Sanjana Mantha
Sanjana is a junior at Irvington High School. As a child, her interests in biographical and scientific books heightened her curiosity about the world. She's also well-versed in multiple languages, and her love for learning lead her to join Storybook Express. Alongside this, she also volunteered as a music tutor, teaching various instruments.
Simran Parise
Simran is a junior at Irvington High School who wants to give more people a chance to expand their interests through the power of reading. As a former tutor of reading, writing, and English Language, she was inspired to help launch Storybook Express. When it comes to volunteering, Simran is also a part of organizations that delve into dance and theater.
